Imperial-Tokyo Tech Global Fellows Programme 2024
From September 7 to 14, 2024, I visited London to participate in the Imperial-Tokyo Tech Global Fellows Programme at Imperial College London. The programme brought together Ph.D. students from Tokyo Tech and Imperial College London to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects addressing United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
My team of five combined expertise in surgical education, patient safety, blockchain technology, biochemistry, battery technology, and robotics. This range of academic backgrounds, nationalities, ages, and experiences made collaboration both challenging and rewarding. It motivated me to broaden my academic perspective while strengthening my communication, teamwork, and other soft skills.
The programme was an exciting experience that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with inspiring people, attend lectures by professors and company founders, and explore London over food and drinks after each workday.
